DEFINITION: Under general supervision of the Director of Maintenance and Operations and with the direction from the Maintenance and Operations supervisor and/or Crafts Leader, within a broad framework of standard policy and procedures, to perform at journey level in a skilled and/or specialized craft or trade as related to maintenance, repair, alteration, and equipment repair duties related to work on District buildings, grounds, pools, and related equipment to include (1) grounds facilities, such as sprinklers systems, fences, playground equipment, swimming pools, and roads, and (2) buildings, such as roof leaks, holes in walls and tile floor repair; utilizing carpentry, cabinet/furniture making, painting, plumbing, electrical, concrete, and/or mechanical repair skills; and to perform skilled and/or specialized labor in a instructional capacity, and performs job related duties as assigned by supervisor. Although this position focuses on all of the trades, we are looking for candidates with a focus on locks and locksmiths and another candidate with a background in cement and elding experience.
