How can educators maximize the holistic impact of social & emotional health in learning communities? This session will highlight strategies to lead to increased emotional awareness, identity development, and engagement. Light refreshments and drinks will be provided. Door prizes will be given to first-year educators and first-time attendees. This year’s professional development series will draw from Kendrick Lamar’s latest album, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, to access methods and means to increase authentic learning and expression for students, teachers, and staff. Each session will be modeled after songs from the 2022 album and facilitated by BLOC members with expertise. This year’s themes include mentorship, joy, social-emotional learning, masculinity, adversity, and representation.
