Supervision Training for Field Instructors Friday, September 30, 2022, from 9:30am-11:30am. TRAINING STARTS PROMPTLY AT 9:30AM. PLEASE PLAN TO ARRIVE BEFORE 9:30. The University of Memphis' University Center (UC) SENATE CHAMBER (2nd floor, room 261). This event is free and is approved for 2.0 CEUs by the University of Memphis' School of Social Work. The University of Memphis is an accredited institution of higher education; the School of Social Work is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. FAQs What are my parking options for the event? **Parking for this event is NOT provided. ** Visitors will need to pay for their own parking while on campus at the University of Memphis. Space in the Zach Curlin parking garage is first-come, first-served, and is based on a $3 per-hour rate. Metered parking spaces are $2 per hour. Whole day visitor parking passes for general lots ($3 per day) may be obtained by visiting Parking Services website linked here: https://www.memphis.edu/parking/permit/visitor.phpCampus map: https://umwa.memphis.edu/campusmap/index.php. The Zach Curlin parking garage is labeled PG2 (located I-11 on the map). The University Center is labeled UC (located G-11 on the map). What can I bring into the event? We will NOT be serving refreshments. It is suggested that you also bring a notepad/padfolio and a pen to take notes. How do I get to the training room? If you park in the Zach Curlin garage, take the walking bridge from the 3rd floor of the garage, which takes you to the 2nd floor of the UC. The Senate Chamber training room is on the 2nd floor of the UC, behind the mail services desk. From the walking bridge, take a RIGHT when you enter the UC, then walk until you see the mailboxes/mail services desk, then take another RIGHT. Senate chamber is behind the mail services space, and doors are to the right and left against the wall. Are the CEUs approved by NASW? Because the University of Memphis is an accredited institution of higher education, and the School of Social Work is also accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), we are approved to provide CEUs without the need for going through the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). Please consult your state's licensing board for your CEU requirements. Will I receive my CEUs on-site? CEUs will be distributed to those that complete an evaluation. Since this is a free event, attendees must stay for the entire presentation in order to receive their CEUs. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? No. A sign-in sheet will be provided. Please sign in next to your name upon arrival. Pre-registration is REQUIRED. Sorry, no walk-ins. Can I Zoom in? No, this is a face-to-face event only. Please only register if you can actually attend, as seating is limited. How do I find the training room?
