Join SMPTE Philadelphia September 27th from 5:00 PM to 7:00PM at WPVI's Satellite truck facility. We will tour WPVI's remote trucks and vans, visit WPVI's job fair table, enjoy some light fare, and listen to an excellent presentation by Fernado Solanes, Director of Solutions Engineering, Evertz Microsystems. Food and refreshments will be provided courtesy of Evertz Chuck Diehl and Sean McDonald will talk briefly about SMPTE, and the increasing usage of IT in the broadcast world. Fernando Solanes will present IP Broadcast Network infrastructures, the use of advanced networks and how they build a broadcast facility future, how network topologies play a critical role for budget and expansion, and discuss network address translation for broadcast. Admission is free but we need to know who is coming. You will need to show a government issued ID at the gate. We will provide more information on parking and entrance in a email closer to the event.
