Tummy Time is such an exciting moment of development for babies and parents. While baby is developing their first skills of exploration, you get to watch in amazement and renewed awe at life's little bits of magic that you long ago forgot to notice. Outdoor tummy time is a sensory enriching opportunity to join others in a similar life stage. Class is baby-led with a primary goal of connection and a hope to do a little learning along the way! Occupational Therapist and Certified Lactation Counselor Katelyn Allen will guide you in a movement sequence to support your baby's growing brain and motor system, while providing tips and tricks individual to your baby's growth and stage of development to make every tummy time fun. We will explore toys, songs, and sensory play that is suited to your baby's interests and innate drive to explore, making playtime the greatest of adventures during our time together and when you go home. About Katelyn Katelyn Allen is an Occupational Therapist and Certified Lactation Counselor. She is certified in Ayres Sensory Integration through the University of Southern California, giving her a brain-based approach to all things baby. During her year-long study of sensory integration, Katelyn became more interested in feeding and it's role in infant development. After becoming a mother, she recognized the importance of successful feeding for parents to enter parenthood with confidence. In 2022, Katelyn started her own therapy practice, Square One OT, to specialize further into sensory processing, lactation support, and feeding therapy. Square One OT is a family-focused practice that recognizes the role of parents in a child's growth, and seeks to help parents recognize the magic within themselves and their babies.
