EASTON, MA — The Massachusetts House and Senate agreed on a $16.5 billion transportation funding bill early Wednesday morning, which would provide $2 million for projects in Easton.
The bill, which was passed almost unanimously following a session that lasted until after 4 a.m., now heads to Gov. Charlie Baker's desk for approval.
The bill would provide funding for the following projects in Easton:
$1 million for the the design and engineering of intersection improvements at Route 138 and Elm St.$500,000 for the construction and improvement of sidewalks$500,000 for the expansion of the elderly and disabled shuttle van service on weekdays and weekends
