APARTMENT ARRANGEMENT-I have an efficiency garage apartment 375+-, that I would like to exchange for housekeeping and caretaker’s help. The apartment can be furnished or unfurnished. Based on my review of rental properties on Craigslist, and consulting with a real estate agent/appraiser, the fair rental value for this apartment is $1500-1800 monthly. It is probably on the higher end, because it is all bills paid, including high speed internet and use of laundry facilities located in the garage. The location is close in, less than 2 miles to UT,/3 miles to Texas Capitol Bldg. It is walking distance to bus lines at Hancock, Airport and IH35, and UT shuttle. Only Cable television is not included. RESPONSIBILITY-The position will REQUIRE 20 hours per week, minimum, and would be suitable for someone with another part-time job, but not full-time employment. The yard care will be variable-winter/summer are usually light, but spring/fall are usually more labor intensive. It requires indoor and outdoor labor, but does not require personal care of me-yet. YOUR QUALIFICATIONS-Must be healthy and able-bodied because this will require vigorous physical labor, climbing stairs and outdoor work. I also have an Airbnb apartment at the same location (with a minimum 30 day stay), so you should be a generally quiet individual. You should also respect the privacy of others, and be appropriately groomed and attired outside your apartment. Your work must be meticulous, with attention to details, organized, efficient, industrious and Consistent! You Must have the ability to Maintain a regular work schedule and an organized and predictable housekeeping routine. MUST HAVE either Professional, Paid EXPERIENCE AS A HOUSEKEEPER, or have a reputation among your friends and family as the best housekeeper anyone ever met. I am willing to train on my personal details, but there is an orderliness and order to housekeeping that you do not learn at home or cleaning your own space or room. If you do not have professional housekeeping skills, you should be willing to teach yourself these by looking up YouTube videos. I have been disappointed with several people who have claimed knowledge and/or experience, but the proof always come out in performance! PROCESS-I will screen applicants before meeting in person. I will send photos of the apartment to anyone who I invite for an interview. If I am interested in pursuing a mutually beneficial relationship, I will pay you to clean for me, so I can assess your skills and/or potential. You can see the apartment the same day, and if the apartment isn’t suitable, you are under No obligation to clean anything and I am under no obligation to pay for you to clean. You may have a furry companion, but this apartment is small, and probably not suitable for more than one dog or two cats. It is not suitable for a couple.
