Sustainable Comfort is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join an expanding group of professionals in the industry. Jack of all trade's seeking to further their knowledge in general maintenance and landscaping can expect to achieve this and more in this position. This role offers ample opportunity to expand our team and consult on the transition to a low carbon fully electrified built environment. The Maintenance Technician would work with our property management team to complete small general maintenance projects, landscaping, snow removal during the winter months and on-call services across the city of Worcester Key Activities: · Clean-up at various multifamily residential properties in the downtown Worcester area. · Regularly execute small to medium sized general maintenance projects · Regularly communicate with building residents and company customers on progress, using a combination of verbal, written and electronic communications. · Manage subcontractors as required. · Work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment to ensure work gets out the door on time. · Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: · Graduation from a vocational school, or 5 years of building trade experience required. · License to operate a motor vehicle, clean driving record. · Possess a professional and positive demeanor in dealing with clients and team members. · Prior experience in landscaping, building construction or property management strongly preferred. Specific experience in one or more of the following will distinguish individual candidates: landscaping, general construction, rough or finish carpentry, masonry, electrical, construction supervision, snow removal, property management. · Passion and patience for doing things correctly. Interest in green building / sustainability. · Must be OSHA 10 certified, or able to obtain certification within 90 days of employment (SCI will pay any certification costs).
