Danvers To Resume Firearm Permit Processing Thursday

DANVERS, MA — The Danvers police department will hold processing for new applicant firearm permits and license holders renewing a license from another city or town on Thursday. After the previous two processing days in December were canceled, Thursday's hours will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Applicants should arrive with their application completed, a check for the permit fee and with all appropriate supporting documents. A list of those can be found here. When applicants arrive at the station they will be required to sign the roster and provide a contact number. When it is time for them to be processed, applicants will receive a call from a blocked phone numbers with instructions to enter the building. If the schedule fills up for the day, applicants will be asked to return at a later processing date. Those without all required supporting documents will not be seen. Thursday's hours are subject to change based on an investigation or emergencies. Any changes will be noted here.
