Journey: a Unique Grief Support Group

"Journey" is a grief support group designed for anyone who has lost a loved one, either recently or more in the past. We will meet for 8 Wednesday evenings, from Oct. 19 to Dec. 14th, 2022. The location is Westhills Village, a local retirement facility; its residents and the general public are welcome to participate. Cost is only $15 to cover materials. Vaccinations are required. This group is appropriate for those whose loss was prior to mid-July, 2022. During each meeting, you will learn about the grief process, and how to cope with the deep emotions you're feeling. Also, the support of the group is valuable because shared understanding and empathy let you know you are not alone. All discussions are respectful and confidential; group members learn and grow, making new friends whose presence is a comfort. The group leader is a retired nurse and counselor who has extensive training and experience in bereavement issues. Please call her with your questions or to register.
