CANTON, MA — The Massachusetts House and Senate agreed on a $16.5 billion transportation funding bill early Wednesday morning, which would provide $306.86 million for projects in Canton. The bill, which was passed almost unanimously following a session that lasted until after 4 a.m., now heads to Gov. Charlie Baker's desk for approval. The bill would provide funding for the following projects in Canton, not including funding for projects along the Providence and Stoughton Commuter Rail Line: $1.2 million for improvements to Washington St.$160,000 for improvements to the Revere St. and Neponset St. intersection$5 million for the redesign and construction of Canton Junction Station$300 million for the redesign and construction of the I-95/I-93 interchange$500,000 for installing infrared heating on the platforms at the Stoughton Train Station, Canton Center Train Station, and Canton Junction Train Station
