Employee Duties & Responsibilities
1) Repairs damaged bodies and body parts of automotive vehicles, like automobiles, buses, and light trucks according to repair manuals, using hand tools & power tools.
2) Examines damaged vehicles estimates cost of repairs [Shop Estimator 807.267-010].
3) Removes upholstery, accessories, electrical & hydraulic window-and-seat-operating equipment and trim to gain access to vehicle body fenders.
4) Positions dolly block against surface of dented area beats opposite surface to remove dents, using hammer.
5) Fills depressions with body filler, using putty knife.
6) Removes damaged fenders, panels, and grills, using wrenches cutting torch, and bolts or welds replacement parts in position, using wrenches or welding equipment.
7) Straightens bent automobile frames, using pneumatic frame straightening machine.
8) Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces, using power tools hand tools.
