Hello, this set belonged to my cat, who has passed on. Would be great if anyone else could use it. All parts offered have been scrubbed/rinsed/decontaminated thoroughly for your comfort and so your cat won't reject them over territorial smell issues. Box is jumbo-sized. Has 4 latches that clamp the top to the bottom. Top opens up partially like a sunroof for easier scooping. The enclosed nature of the box, as my litter-kicking cat proved, keeps most litter inside the box. Carrying handle on top works for quick carries and moves but you won't want to carry by the handle if the box is very heavy or full--handle can pop out and/or latches between top and bottom can slip. But currently there are no broken parts anywhere on this litter box, so it is still reliable. The black filter currently on top is brand new, has been sitting on there since i emptied the box out last year. You also get one spare still-wrapped new filter. Easy to find a 6-pack of replacement filters online when you need them (one box of the exact correct filter is currently in stock for around 12$). These are made of some sort of charcoal hybrid material which can be washed at least once, so they do last a while. The mat (if you set the box bottom slightly overlapping at the edge to help keep it in place) keeps most litter on the cat's paws from getting to the surrounding floor when it jumps out. Once in a while, you have to roll the mat up and shake it out real good. If it gets extra gross you can shake, spray with cleaner, hose it off and hang it up to dry. Overall, this was a great combo of products to reduce the awful grossness of having a litterbox in my house. The only part about it that is questionable is whether your cat will figure out the clear door flap. My cat was scrawny and small and easily frightened, but with a little encouragement she was going in and out of this thing with no problem within one day. The flap can also be completely and easily removed and you still get good litter scatter protection. I paid around 65$ for the whole combo 2 years ago. With the current higher costs, this same box by itself costs over 55$ new. If you are on here looking for your first kitten or cat but don't yet have the gear, this would make a perfect cheap starter package. Only asking 25$ (+ an extra 5$ if you need me to drive more than a mile outside Kalamazoo/Portage). Included is the full litter box, 2 filters, litter mat, and a bonus clean litter scoop.
