We are looking for an Experienced LEAD SOLAR INSTALLER who is a dependable and self-motivated individual to join our installation team. We are willing to pay Top Dollar $$ to the qualified candidate we hire. Bring your "A" game and let's negotiate! We primarily perform residential solar installations and some occasional commercial projects. Working as part of our installation crew, this role will provide an opportunity to install best-in-class solar PV systems. Full-Time, Monday through Friday, with Weekend Availability. Compensation starting at $28-40/hour with verifiable Lead experience in Solar Installation including battery storage. The Lead PV Installer is responsible to provide leadership and supervision to the field installation crew, communicate the daily job status data, and ensure successful completion of solar arrays/systems installation. The Lead PV Installer completes daily project logs using designated software, notes any changes or deviations to construction drawings, and is responsible for overseeing inventory for each installation. The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced solar PV technician and leads efforts in practicing safe working practices for the crews. The Lead PV installer ensures adequate progress of work, offers training and instruction to installation team crew members, and notifies the Company President of any issues that may arise. Lead Solar Installer Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Oversees the install both roof and ground-mounted residential Solar Systems (PV), battery storage systems, service upgrades, as needed, and related components to code following the approved permit plans; Apply an in-depth understanding of the performance characteristics of various components of a solar system and how they interrelate to field construction execution; Perform general construction duties including measuring, use of hand tools, roofing, leveling, trenching, concrete, and landscaping; Assembles solar array racking, mounting hardware, properly seal all roof penetrations, and installs all relative equipment; Run conduit and complete all necessary wiring of the solar, electrical, and energy storage install components. Including proper wire crimping, inverter stringing and installing home runs, low voltage installation, combiner box wiring and wire management; Oversees best construction practices, safety and OSHA compliance on job site at all times; Maintain a clean work site and project clean up; Attend mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology and safety; and Additional duties required as needed. Requirements: Relative Electrical knowledge REQUIRED; roofing experience preferred; Must have 3-5 years' experience installing solar on all types of roofs including ground mounts and battery storage; Strong understanding of NEC codes with emphasis on residential electrical. Must be able to read drawings and electrical single line diagrams; Have full range of mobility in upper and lower body, be able to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment of 50+ pounds of weight frequently throughout assigned workday to complete assigned job tasks; Must be able to climb ladders and stairs regularly and be comfortable with heights of at least 20 feet and walking on all roof types; Ability to work at the ground level, kneeling, bending, and stand repeatedly (lunges) on a daily basis; Comfortable in tight spaces (attic, crawlspaces, etc.); Basic tablet and smartphone skills; Attention to detail; Professional appearance, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and excellent customer service skills; Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record in the state where the work is to be performed; and Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistently; and Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal, driving and drug screen!
