This is for full-time work; previous plant experience not necessary, but an interest in plants and their care is required. The Wright Gardner (thewrightgardner.com) is seeking new plant care professional(s) to join our operations and interior plant care technician team. Our plant care experts water, trim, fertilize, dust, troubleshoot disease and pests, and generally care for, and replace (when required) our clients’ office plants to ensure they maintain a healthy and vibrant appearance. As a member of our plant care team, you will provide our customers, which include many of the Bay Area’s premier organizations, with the professional plant care service required to keep their workplaces green and vibrant. Successful applicants will have a knack for or interest in gardening, an eye for design, a happy smiling face, strong face-to-face customer service skills, and a desire to work efficiently and independently out in the field while providing a service people love. – A driver’s license and a safe driving record is required. Technicians working part time must use their own vehicle and will receive mileage-based reimbursement. Technicians working full time will be provided with a company assigned vehicle. – Our service is typically provided M-F 8:30-4:30. Technician are each assigned several routes, which consist of a series of routine stops in a geographic area where we care for the plants, and the technician will perform all the required service at each client and execute each route according to the schedule, which is typically every 10 days, totaling 3 visits per month. Technicians typically report to work at their first service location and check out after servicing their last location. We do not generally have weekend or evening work. -Technicians receive their schedules, log their service, report issues, and request replacement plants using our smartphone app. Comfort using an iPhone or Android device is also a plus, but we will train as needed. -Plant care experience is required, but that experience can be formal or informal. We will train on additional plant care skills as needed.
