SARASOTA, FL — A fire ravaged Sarasota Tire Center, located at 19th Street and North East Avenue, Saturday night. Firefighters were called in to battle the blaze at the commercial building just after 6 p.m., Sarasota County Emergency Services tweeted. Emergency responders had the fire under control by 7:23 p.m. One person was injured during the fire and brought to Sarasota Memorial Hospital, the county said. East Avenue was temporarily closed from 17th Street to 20th Street Saturday night. The owner of Sarasota Tire Center told ABC7 that he's shocked by what happened to his business. "I'm very much speechless. I don't know what to do. I don't know what to say."
