Are you ready to secure a bag (your financial security) and specialized skills with zero student loan debt?? On 9/24/22 from 11am-5pm you will get the information on how to make your next career move your best move! The Community Pulse Series is an events series being brought to you by 3v3ryday Grind LLC and a roster of rock star sponsors!!! Some sponsors include the City of Portland, Portland Community College, Prosper Portland, NECA-IBEW Electrical Training Center, Pacific Northwest Capenters Institute, TRC Companies, Energy Trust of Oregon, LiUNA and California Closets!! The Series kicked off 8/20/22 and the next date is 9/24/22 with 10/15/22 wrapping up the 2022 series. And all 3 events are free to the public!!! Come find out about direct pathways into the construction industry, participate in hands-on workshops from the different trades, check on expungement eligibility for criminal, motor vehicle and eviction records, enjoy great food and be merry while enjoying the musical entertainment provided by DJ WildChild!! Lunch Catered by Gourmet Bros Grill. Bring the whole family!!! There will be youth STEAM workshops facilitated by the NE STEAM Coalition and a kid zone for the younger attendees, as well as trades-based hands-on workshops for age 13 and up from the Electricians, Carpenters and Glaziers! Learn how to wire a simple circuit with the Electricians or build a birdhouse (to take home) with the Carpenters! We're excited, are you excited??! If you knew the future construction could provide for you, you would be!! As a Journeyman Electrician, let me tell you, the benefits are plenty!! This event is free to the public and focused on authentic engagement and debunking myths about accessible career pathways within the BIPOC community. There is an intentional effort to curb gun violence by providing positive activities for those at-risk youth who may currently be unaware of options of a better life. Career opportunities in the construction industry can directly address under employment in underserved communities. Let's offer options instead of criticism to those who need encouragement in our communities, while also getting to the meat of how to establish a career in one of the most stable industries in the world!
