Description

This course is a requirement to be a Colorado Veterinary Medical Reserve Corps volunteer. The COVMRC is the animal disaster response team for the Western Slope of Colorado. Continuing education credits for Bureau of Animal Protection and CVT are being requested. This training is put on by COVMRC, CSU Extension, Eagle County Animal Shelter and Eagle Valley Humane Society. Training includes: COVMRC Introduction CSU Extension role with Livestock in Disasters Sheltering Large and Small Animals in disasters The majority of training will be a Table Top exercise in sheltering large and small animals. A tour of disaster trailers and Eagle County Animal Shelter Lunch will be provided.
