The assessment highlights the need for substance use prevention in the community by identifying commonly used substances, risk and protective factors affecting our youth, and the societal consequences of adolescent substance use. The findings of the assessment address the gaps within the existing prevention infrastructure as well as draws attention to the strengths that should be celebrated within the community. The findings discussed in this presentation will be relevant to anyone involved in youth development, healthcare, education, and community building within Crawford County
