Wiffle Ball Home Run Derby Fundraiser - All Abilities Welcome! Where: Brett Field (ES Rec Park) When: Saturday, Oct 8th & Sunday, Oct 9th. Early Bird Ticket Pricing Ends Sep 26th Why: Two years ago Drake passed away after a brave battle with DIPG, Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma. DIPG is a highly aggressive and difficult to treat pediatric brain tumor. There is no cure for DIPG and it often considered the worst type in existence. The upcoming ESLL season would have been Drake's final year on Brett Field crushing home runs and we'd like to honor the impact he had on the community by doing the exact same thing: Crushing Home Runs! A portion of your home run derby ticket cost (donation) goes directly fighting DIPG and finding a cure. The other part of your donation goes back to ESLL to improve the fields, provide scholarship funds, and replace worn out team equipment for the upcoming season. Your ticket provides entrance into the Wiffle Ball Home Run Derby, where you will have 2 min to hit as many home runs. Prizes will be given to the winners in select age groups (#2 thru #6). Home Runs Will Be Adjusted For Each Age Group: Group #1 (born in 2017+)Group #2 (born in 2015 , 2016)Group #3 (born in 2013 , 2014)Group #4 (born in 2011 , 2012)Group #5 (born in 2009 , 2010)Group #6 (born 2000 - 2008)Group #7 (born before 2000)NOTE: Official bats and balls will be supplied by ESLL for use in the competition $20 - Make Your Bat GOATED: For an additional $20, you will get your own brand new official wiffle ball bat and can customize it for use in the tournament. Please plan to arrive 20 min earlier to receive your bat and to have adequate time in the "War Room" to add war paint, body armor, and Drake swag to your bat to make it battle ready.Official Rules: The Pitcher (you may supply) must stand at least 12 feet away from the plate You must use an official ESLL supplied bat You have 2 min to hit as many HRs as you canTop 5 HR hitters from groups #2, #3, #4, #5, #6 will move to Final RoundFinal Round: 1 min to hit most HRsTop Hitters in Groups #1 & #2 will be the winner (No Final Round)Hitting Times: You will choose your preferred window of time on either Saturday or SundaySaturday Times: 4pm - 9pmSunday Times: 9am - 5pmFinals: Will take place on Sunday around 5pm (exact time is TBD)Looking To Just Donate?
