Pitching is a critical skill for filmmakers, and just like your project, pitching is storytelling. Research suggests that humans categorize other individuals in less than 150 milliseconds. That means you have 15 seconds to make a great impression. Busy entertainment executives, distributors, and showrunners evaluate dozens of ideas in a week or sometimes a day. So, your pitch has to be spot on. This workshop provides the tools you need to structure your pitch to ensure decision-makers are intrigued. She is a member of the Producers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA. A prolific writer and content creator, Lorraine's properties include the streaming series "Marked As Other," "Stagecoach Destiny," and "Entanglement"), the feature film "The Three Incarnations of Tilly Hibbett" (based on a true story), and a musical theater piece entitled "The Well," about depression. Lorraine stepped into producing videos, shorts, streaming shows, and feature films 18 years ago. She produced the short film "Period," which went viral on YouTube in January 2021 and has over 4 million views. She also produced the short "Jameson," with over 2 million views, and the multi-award-winning "The Son, The Father."She also produced several narrative feature films, including "The Hollow One," acquired for worldwide distribution (streaming and DVD). She is currently in development for the feature film "Tramp," in association with Buffalo 8 Productions. Lorraine is also an award-winning marketing communication and business development professional with over 18 years of experience. Carey Rose O'Connell Gaining over 20 years of corporate management and communications experience, in 2017, Carey Rose left the box and created her New Mexico-based business, RoseBrand Consultation Services. She partners with content creators, non-profits, small businesses, independent brand owners, and entrepreneurs who often feel that brand marketing, training, and analytical support are not feasible in their budgets. In 2022 her passion for supporting the foundations of a sustainable film and media industry inspired her to focus a critical portion of her consultation work on independent, local content creators. The Albuquerque Film and Media Incubator is the space she developed to provide the missing components of systemic support to the community.
