Oxmoor – Wash Nights – Thursday September 22,2022 and Wednesday September 28, 2022 (5-8pm) Come and learn what happens after archaeologists excavate! Did you know that we (archaeologists) don’t spend all that much time excavating? Only about 25% of our time is spent excavating. Much more time is spent washing artifacts and cataloging them to learn what they can tell us about the past. And a great deal of time is spent writing about what we have learned! Join KAS archaeologists at Oxmoor to wash and learn about the artifacts we have been excavating at the extant slave dwellings on the Farm. Stay as long or as little as you like. Please wear old clothing that can get both wet and dirty.
