As a continuation of our series on Spanish wines, we travel to the south of France to explore the area around Jerez, which is known for the delightful fortified wine known as Sherry. Based on methods of production, Sherry styles can range from drier, nuttier styles like fino and manzanilla, to more richer styles like oloroso and amontillado, all the way to deep and sweet styles like Pedro Ximenez. This wide range of styles also makes this wine extremely versatile in terms of food pairings as well through each course of the meal.
