Hi my name is Brandie, I'm 35 and I've just moved here from Texas and am now offering last minute babysitting here in Sacramento! Have you ever needed a last minute experienced babysitter but couldn't find one? For years in Texas I have been providing last minute babysitting to a multitude of families which has frequently included staying overnight for days when parents were out of town. I'm available for nights when parents need a night off, for appointments and overnight babysitting. My background; I was raised in Alaska&for a temporary time resided in Texas where I got my education&started my steps into my passion of working with children. For the time period I worked in Texas, families&parents all over the city passed around my info because of their satisfaction with my work. Growing up since I was a child I knew I wanted to be a elementary school teacher&spent much of my free time arranging activities to do with fellow children, this interest carried to my college career path. My education includes 4 years of training at the University of Texas at El Paso in the elementary education degree field&I have also completed a specialized associate of applied science in child development at Epcc. With each babysitting job I always make it my goal to offer fun hands-on interactive babysitting&I individualize my approach to appeal to what interests each individual child. Parents I've babysat for will tell you I actually sit down&play with the children. I would describe myself as a babysitter who's motivated&has a passion for working with kids! I've used a variety of activities when babysitting&tutoring including putting on small house play performances, creative arts, crafts, painting, reading, writing with creative means, baking, beading, building with clay, outdoors activities, interactive games, music appreciation activities, dance, creative play, learning&exploration. I love trying new activities. Parents have described me as bringing out creativity in children, and many children have expressed me being their favorite sitter. My motivations: Being raised in Alaska and having creative instructors is what really fostered my exploration passions. As a child I grew up in Montessori doing hands on crafts, learning outdoors, planting flowers, adopting&caring for trees, cleaning up our environment&taking interest in exploring life&our beautiful earth. Our education was outdoors. I also grew up loving to spend time volunteering for enjoyment& to help people old and young. I wanted to make a difference in others lives which is why its greatly satisfying when I've seen myself being able to do that in the lives of children I work with. I found in my career I particularly enjoyed working one-on-one with children the most. I loved listening, I loved talking&I loved planning learning activities with smaller groups of children, because of seeing how much kids blossom with individualized attention. I've been told by parents how much they love my patient loving personality, that it immediately stood out to them. I have over 12 years of experience working with infants, toddlers, head start, grade school children and adolescence in both care giving&in teaching settings. I am also fully vaccinated and I have a network excellent references!
