Join us every month at AleSmith Brewing Company for our Women's Speaker Series. This series features local inspiring women discussing topics to help promote women's leadership by sharing their accomplishments, challenges, and insights. Our goal is to build a community of women from different backgrounds through speakers and workshops to help them achieve their professional and personal goals. The next Women's Speaker Series will take place on October 17th 5-7:30pm at AleSmith Brewing Company located at 9990 AleSmith Court. San Diego, CA 92126. Admission is free with RSVP through Eventbrite. This Month's Topic is Street Safe with Stephanie Spears. Stephanie will share pointers on how to avoid bad situations, teach a few basic self-defense moves, and finish with a Q&A session. Stephanie Spears has been training in martial arts for over 22 years. She currently holds a Third Degree Black Belt in Tang Soo Do, and First Degree Black Belts in Tae Kwon Do and Judo. Her expertise includes Muay Thai Kickboxing and she has had the opportunity to travel to places including Thailand and Japan for training camps and competitions. Stephanie’s passion for martial arts training evolved into a passion for teaching others and she became an instructor in early 2008. One of her favorite things about instructing is watching students’ confidence grow as they learn and develop their martial arts skills. Further expanding upon her passion, Stephanie opened 7 Spears Martial Arts Academy in 2018 in Poway, CA. Her goal for the studio is to develop excellent martial artists and confident leaders through her dedicated leadership program. She continues to teach while running the business and providing martial arts and self-defense seminars upon request from individuals and community groups. Feel free to come dressed in normal attire or athletic apparel. Stephanie will be covering a few basic moves in response to the more common attacks that may occur. Schedule of Events: 5:00pm-6:00pm Social Happy Hour 6:00pm-7:30pm Speaker Series Zoe's Place Food Truck will be on site serving food throughout the event.
