Delta Valley SHPE (Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers) is a non-profit that encompasses Sacramento, Stockton, and surrounding areas. Since 2018, our orgnaization has provided over 20 leadership workshops, networking events, and community outreach opportunities for young professionals in STEM. Our website is dvshpe.org, and SHPE’s national site is shpe.org. SHPE’s vision is a world where Hispanics are highly valued and influential as the leading innovators, scientists, mathematicians, and engineers. With this in mind, we have partnered with three local companies to offer our first annual showcase celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, Innovadores in the Valley, which will focus on the contributions local Hispanics are currently making in developing new technologies.
