BEVERLY, MA — The Massachusetts Task Force site on Airport Road has been added as a first responder coronavirus vaccination site. That site and the Marblehead Council on Aging will act as a coronavirus testing site for first responders on the North Shore as soon as Monday. Gov. Charlie Baker said some 45,000 first responders will begin getting vaccinated starting next week. The vaccine will be available to police, firefighters, EMTs and other first responders. The Humphrey Street site in Marblehead and Airport Road site in Beverly will open as early as Monday, according to the state, for first responders in Beverly, Danvers, Marblehead, Salem and Swampscott. Peabody first responders can get vaccinated at the Peabody High School site. The state on Tuesday morning announced 114 COVID-19 vaccination sites for Massachusetts first responders, further detailing a widespread effort to convert everything from elementary schools to senior centers to town halls into vaccination destinations. An interactive map of all sites can be found here. State guidelines said qualifying departments that plan to vaccinate at least 200 individuals may request vaccines to be administered on site. Departments that would like this option can follow the guidelines to request an individual vaccination site here. First responders can schedule an appointment ahead of time. As of Wednesday, the appointment link for this site had yet to be activated. The Marblehead and Beverly sites are scheduled to be open two days per week with those days to be determined. Mass vaccination sites — including Fenway Park and Gillette Stadium — are expected to be launched in the coming weeks. First responders are reminded this vaccine requires two doses. Recipients will receive the same vaccine in both doses at the same location.
