The Local Palate, in partnership with Breakthru Beverage, welcomes the world's top whiskey ambassadors to Charleston for the seventh annual Whiskey After Dark on Thursday, November 3, 2022. Sample more than one hundred whiskeys, including bourbons and scotches, as well as seltzers and craft beer at the Cedar Room in downtown Charleston. The event will host some of the South's best pitmasters—because what pairs better with firewater than a little smoke? Feast on an array of barbecue styles including old-fashioned whole hog bbq, ribs, smoked turkey and more from James Beard Award-winning Rodney Scott's BBQ, Southern Soul Barbeque, and Martin's Bar-B-Que Joint. Doors open for general admission at 6:30pm for an all-inclusive oak and smoke celebration with live music. VIP ticket holders are invited to arrive early at 5:30pm for early access and whiskey-blended cocktails. All donations and a portion of proceeds will benefit Lowcountry Local First.
