Shell Factory Nature Park is looking for full time zookeepers to join our team in the departments of Petting Farm, Birds (aviaries and parrots) Reptiles, dietician, and class animal exotics. This is a great opportunity for anyone who has serious desire to grow and goals for working towards an AZA facility. We are a class II and III facility, with most exotics being rescues or surrenders. This is a very physical, fast paced and dirty job. You must be able to lift at least 25lbs, work in the Florida heat, in all types of weather and have some flexibility to your schedule. This is a fulltime position (40hrs – 5 days a wk) Applicants must be 18yrs or older to apply. Part time applicants are welcome to apply but full time is truly the needs at this moment. Pay is based on experience, which is desired but not necessary for the right applicant. Please note, owning snakes, birds, small animals, etc, will not be considered as experience. Working or volunteering at rescues, sanctuaries, exotic pet stores, hoof stock, barn hand and shelters would be more the experience needed for this position.
