In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness month, Micah's Place is offering a presentation of: In Her Shoes. Join us at Disco Witch Brewing to participate in this uniquely eye-opening experience. In Her Shoes is an interactive exercise where participants move, do, think, and experience the lives of domestic violence survivors. It is a simulation exercise in which participants adopt a character and her story. The exercise allows participants to navigate the often difficult circumstances that victims face. 1 in 3 women will experience domestic violence in their lifetimes. On average, a survivor will leave and return to the abuser 7 times before leaving that relationship permanently. Everyone knows someone.
