ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS LARRY WHITESIDE JR Larry Whiteside Jr. is a veteran CISO, former USAF Officer, and thought leader in the Cybersecurity field. He has 25+ years experience in building and running cybersecurity programs, holding C Level Security executive roles in multiple industries including DoD, Federal Government, Financial Services, Healthcare, and Critical Infrastructure. Larry currently serves the Co-Founder, President, and on the Board of Directors at Cyversity, a 501(c)3 non-profit association that is dedicated to to achieve the consistent representation of women and underrepresented minorities in the cybersecurity industry through programs designed to diversify, educate, and empower. Since 2009, via Whiteside Security, which he founded, Larry has advised several corporate security executives and companies across the cybersecurity industry on how to make Cyber Security a number one objective to their business. He has helped CEOs and board members of private cybersecurity companies achieve their goals in sales, marketing, and customer retention. Larry has spoken in front of C Level leadership and Board of Directors of some of the largest private and public sector organizations in America. KARI SCHORI Kari has worked in Information Technology for more than 20 years and currently serves as the CIO at the Office of the Public Defender 6th Judicial Circuit. She began her career in IT as a software developer with a data centric background, working first in the publishing industry before joining the Public Defenders office. She has been a leader in the IT industry, served as Network Director of Women in Technology International in Tampa for three years, and was a CIO of the Year Honoree in 2019. She holds a bachelor's degree in technology management from St. Petersburg College. ROBERT LUBIN Robert is the Security Operations Center Director for Abacode Cybersecurity & Compliance. He has more than 15 years of experience in the military, intelligence, and private cybersecurity sectors, earned a master’s degree in cybersecurity, and maintains certifications in multiple cybersecurity technology platforms. SUZANNE RICCI Suzanne Ricci is the Chief Success Officer at Computer Coach IT Training Center and best-selling Career Success Author. She has spent 20 years career coaching 1000’s of IT professionals in Tampa Bay. Getting her start as a web designer, she quickly learned what it takes to be successful in an IT career and today she passionately shares her “tried and true” advice with anyone who needs help. COURTNEY H JACKSON Courtney H. Jackson, MSISA, CISSP, CISM, CEH, CHFI is the Founder and CEO of Paragon Cyber Solutions, LLC, an 8(a), woman, minority, veteran-owned, HUBZone certified Tampa, Florida-based small business specializing in information security and assurance. Ms. Jackson has more than 20 years of certified hands-on experience in Information Technology and security, encompassing both executive leadership and entrepreneurship. Through her work, she helps government agencies and private companies to protect the integrity of their business operations through specialized cyber security and risk management solutions. Ms. Jackson got her start in Information Technology during her tenure in the U.S. Navy. After completing her military service, she took at entry-level position as an IT Help Desk Representative, impressively working her way up to the C-Suite in a span of a career before exiting the Corporate space to pursue her entrepreneurial endeavors full-time. She is also a member of the Military Cyber Professionals Association (MCPA) and a fellow of the Cyber Security Forum Initiative (CSFI), a not-for-profit organization providing cyber warfare awareness, guidance, and security solutions through collaboration, education, volunteer work, and training to assist the U.S. Government, U.S. Military, commercial interests, and international partners. SAMANTHA RAMOS Samantha is currently an Information Security Manager at Nextech Systems and has a Master of Science in Information Technology Management. Samantha has multiple years of experience in security consulting and helping organizations improve their information security posture. Samantha’s expertise focuses on Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) functions including IT auditing, security policy lifecycle management, and risk management. Outside of work, Samantha serves as a mentor to youth organizations in the community and strives to spread awareness about information security and Internet safety. JASON ALLEN Jason is the CTO at Digital Hands, has over 20 years of technology leadership and a proven track record for innovation. As a CTO he enjoys being a hands-on leader with a focus on software engineering and product development. In addition to his contributions at MessageControl and Yello, Jason supported the high-energy physics research programs at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, US Department of Energy. ROLANDO TORRES Rolando is a seasoned Technology Executive with over 22 years of experience in Cybersecurity, IT Consulting, Program Management, and Business Operations. He is a graduate of the Electrical Engineering program of the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus. He joined Andersen Consulting (Accenture) in St Petersburg, Florida as soon as he got out of college. Right from the start of his career, Rolando was a key member in the implementation of Wholesale and Retail Electricity Markets in New England, Texas, the Mid West, and Brazil. Rolando managed numerous international engagements throughout his career including leading teams in three continents within the Telecommunications and Utilities markets. He was responsible for managing all data protection aspects of his engagements, including the implementation and governance of Information Security Management Programs, creation of policies, procedures, and controls. After a successful 15-year career at Accenture, Rolando co-founded Abacode Cybersecurity with Michael Ferris in 2013. In his roles as Abacode COO, Rolando has been responsible for expanding Abacode’s footprint to the UK, Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, Colombia, and Mexico. One of Rolando’s main goals is to propel accelerated business growth while maintaining the high-touch quality service, a trait of the Abacode brand. Rolando, his wife Eda, and their two children, Adriana Isabel and Rolando Andres reside in the Tampa Bay area where they enjoy playing tennis, fishing, water sports, hiking, and spending time with friends and family. CHARLTON TREZEVANT Charlton is a software developer and security consultant residing in St. Petersburg, Florida. Since 2015, Charlton has drawn from years of experience in multiple technical domains, using his skills to great effect as a security professional, mentor, researcher, and award-winning participant in national cybersecurity competitions. Charlton has led and participated in vulnerability assessments, consultation, and penetration testing for industries including higher education, entertainment, finance, and technology. His experience includes application and network penetration testing, security auditing, threat modeling, social engineering, network architecture, software development, and curriculum design.
