Description
I am a bassist/vocalist looking for someone to accompany on keys in a variety of genres. My goal is to develop a high-quality performance, eventually with other musicians, to play out once a month or so.
I am retired from day work. I work with several bands in the area and would prefer to start this project with someone who can rehearse during the day because I’m pretty busy in the evenings. I do have connections with some local clubs.
My personal goal is to do more lead singing, since the bands I work with lately generally have great singers and I have done a lot of singing in the past. I miss it. I need to do it.
Your preferred skills should include a strong ear for harmony and a willingness to learn material on your own time so that we do not need to rehearse frequently once repertoire is established.
Other instrumentalists welcome to inquire.
Genres would include bluesy stuff, seventies and eighties rock, but intentional avoidance of the tired and overdone classic rock songs. You need to be a strong player who is willing to learn signature parts and play for the love of music because there is no money in this anymore.
If you love Steely Dan, we should maybe talk.
