With the warm weather winding down, we want to give all of our supporters a special treat. Gather your family for a free evening of s'more roasting, hiking, and hanging out at Barker House! Sneak a peek inside the lower level of the historic Barker House, enjoy a guided hike through the beautiful Barker Woods Nature Preserve, purchase some fresh Save the Dunes merch from our table, and partake in making one of autumn's signature sweets around our campfire. We can't wait to see you there! You'll park at Barker Middle School - 319 Barker Rd - and then follow the signs just down the road to Barker House! This is a free event, but registration is required (so we don't run out of s'mores). ------ Save the Dunes is a 501(c)3 non-profit environmental advocacy organization in Northwest Indiana with roots in establishing Indiana’s only National Park. We work to protect the Indiana Dunes and Lake Michigan through meaningful conservation, advocacy, and community engagement that increases the overall health and vitality of our region.
