Description

Forest Therapy, also known as Forest Bathing or Shinrin Yoku, originated in Japan and is the practice of enjoying nature at a slower pace. Forest Therapy has been proven through research to lower stress and moderate blood pressure as indicated through amylase, a stress indicator found in the saliva. These stress-lowering effects can last up to a week after the session. MSU Extension Tollgate Farm and The Novi Community Coalition have partnered to present Forest Therapy experiences to the public! Please join us for these introductory Forest Therapy sessions with a variety of themes that are open and free to the public!
