I just moved to Fairbanks and want to rock. I'm pretty all over the place for what I want, so I'm just saying rock'n'roll and we'll see what happens. Some things I know for sure is that I'm a family man with a career so this is a fun hobby, I don't have stars in my eyes and a desire to go pro. I do have a sense of fun professionalism, meaning I want to be able to charge money for gigs and deliver a tight set. I do not want a party band. I don't drink, smoke, or do drugs or partake in Ganja. I want to play music. I can handle being around alcohol and 420 but a hard pass on drugs. I do ask for sober practices and gigs. Upfront I am a pastor with a local church so there's a lot of subject matter that I don't want to cover that is pretty traditional to rock, however I am comfortable with covering some NOFX, Bad Religion, Motorhead, maybe some Slayer. I am looking to form a secular rock band that plays in bars and clubs not a worship band in disguise. I'm also cool with being in an instrumental surf style band. I just want to get out there and play. I play guitar and bass well, and am ok with drums but you'll have to bear with me as I grow in skill but I can keep a beat and always come back in on the 1. My main influences musically are punk and surf. Punk from the late 80's early 90's pre screamo, I still consider NOFX to be pop punk if that tells you anything. SO if you've made it this far and are intrigued hit me up and we'll get together. If you've never played an instrument no worries I'll teach you. I'm here for the fun not the record deals.
