Saturday, September 24, 2022, 10 am to 3 pm for the Birthday Party for 999. The Painesville Railroad Museum with the City of Painesville will have a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Friday, September 23, 2022 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm for our new Engine Barn. This has been design to have the flavor of the original station that was built in 1850. It will be the new home for the Collinwood 999 Engine, along with our live steamer and our horse drawn trolley built in the 1880’s. We will also be celebrating the 90th birthday of the Collinwood 999 engine build in 1932 at the New York Central Collinwood yards. The Collinwood High School Alum Association and the Collinwood Nottingham Historical Society will have display present. Live Music by The Miracle Band from Noon to 3 pm on Saturday, September 24, 2022. The Collinwood 1961 Fire Engine will also be on display on Saturday. The Mod Squad modular train layout will be on display on Saturday. We will also be celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Western Reserve Railroad Association. We will also have a model train flea market on Saturday, 10 am. to 3 pm. Food will be available (including HoBo beans) for a small donation.
