We at Century 21 Northstar are seeking to develop an inhouse maintenance team to provide general handyman services to our large portfolio of residential properties. As a maintenance technician you will be responsible for providing professional repair work for typical household issues. Such duties include, but are not limited to, repairing leaks in sinks or drains, fixing minor household electrical issues, replacing old components or units for appliances etc. You will be responsible for diagnosing issues and determining when outside contractors need to be assigned for more detailed work. The ideal candidate: -Has several years of experience in residential household maintenance. -Can provide reliable transportation to various job sites. -Has his/her own tools for general repairs; special equipment will be provided -Can perform duties with little to no guidance -Comfortable working alone -Has a personable manner and polite attitude with tenants. -Is able to document work performed in detail, including expenses and hours -Willing to use/learn software to organize work orders. -Has a strong work ethic, assumes responsibility for quality of work and accomplishes repair efficiently, not wasting time. Compensation: A qualifying candidate will be paid hourly at a rate based on experience. Mileage compensation will be provided for transportation costs.
