About the Role: Reporting to the Inventory Control Manager, the Receiving Clerk supports the warehouse and quality assurance teams in receiving functions and is responsible for all GMP paperwork, documentation, and electronic systems. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the early team at Thistle’s brand new East Coast facility, located in Burlington, NJ, responsible for launching and growing Thistle East operations to bring delicious, plant-forward, and planet-friendly meals to customers on the East Coast. This position is 100% onsite in Burlington, NJ. We are targeting our staff starting with us in our new location on October 17th. What You'll Do: - Receive produce, proteins, dry goods, canned, frozen, and packaging materials - Verify materials match invoice and cross-reference with purchase orders for item specifications, quantities, and pricing - Backup for Warehouse Receiver using Galley as materials are received and added to our inventory - Inform procurement team of shortages, quality issues, or pricing discrepancies as soon as they arise - Daily product rotation in the warehouse, refrigeration, and freezer using FIFO method. - Daily cross-functional collaboration with production operations, kitchen team, facilities, and procurement - Communicate proactively with Procurement Manager and Production managers if received materials do not match purchase orders in quantity, specification, and price - Maintain the receiving documentation for Quality Assurance - Facilitate best practices in the storage of all received materials - Ensure Quality standards are met for all products received What You'll Bring: - High school diploma or equivalent required; degree preferred - At least 2+ years warehouse receiving experience or experience working in a similar role required; warehouse-receiving experience in a high-volume food production facility highly preferred - Able to solve basic problems, have strong math skills (converting batch requirements - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Excellent time management skills - Knowledge of food product materials (preferred) - Knowledge of GMP manufacturing practices - CA Food Manager Certification preferred - Must have strong organizational and problem-solving skills - Ability to effectively prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment - Able to work independently and collaboratively across the organization - Solid time-management, multitasking, and organizational skills - Ability to walk and stand for long periods - The ability to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push objects up to 50 pounds.
