Maintenance Mechanic
$500.00 SIGN-ON BONUS

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Mechanics
Mechanics are responsible for the daily inspection of intermodal chassis to ensure equipment is meeting safety standards under Federal Highway Administration standards.
Perform annual and preventative Federal Maintenance inspections.
Perform mechanical diagnosis with efficiency and accuracy.
As a maintenance mechanic, you must be able to dismantle, repair, and reassemble landing gears, wheel axles, tires, and brakes, this may include welding of broken parts.
Ensure the electrical system is running efficiently.
Repair electrical issues associated with wiring/lights.
Accurately input damage/repairs and photos on a mobile device to complete work orders.
Completes all work orders in a timely and consistent manner.
Mechanics are required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), such as hearing protection, safety boots, safety glasses, protective hard hat & goggles, when applicable.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications for Mechanic
Valid Driver’s License
Ability to pass all pre-employment screening requirements (drug screen, aptitude assessment, background check)
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
General knowledge of basic maintenance mechanic repairs
Personal hand tools and toolbox for storage
Welding experience is a plus, but not required
