Description
"if a venue doesn't know you don't expect to get paid much." Did you even read my post? Where in the world was I bitching about how little I was getting paid? That had nothing to do with it. What I was writing about was an agreed upon price that wasn't met. Let's just say for the sake of argument that this is a plumber's community. You go into lee-saw's house and she agrees to pay you $100 an hour to fix her sink. You go in there and it takes you 3 hours to fix her sink. You're expecting $300. She gives you $100 and says she expected you to only take one hour to do it. Is Lee - saw being an a******? Is she ripping you off? The answers yes. It wasn't about what the agreed price was, it was about how there was an agreed price and it wasn't met. Now, I think it would have been more useful if you would have told me that you've played there before and you didn't have that experience. Or, if you have played there before and you did have that experience. Either way the message is intent wasn't to show how superior you are and how much you know about booking and what not. The message was for any other musician who might get an offer to play there.
