vocalist looking to join or start either a Tribute or Cover Band. I had to hang up my singing outlet for a while to deal with raising an autistic child and then I also recently had a house fire that put normal life on hold while I put all the pieces back together. Anyway, I am READY and able to invest the time necessary to put on some incredible performances again. I have a rehearsal space which I think you would love to practice in. I live near Parker Rd and Orchard. I would also be willing to travel to someone else's rehearsal space. I use in-ear monitors and have pro gear. I'm 40 and have my life together. I don't do drugs or drink but if you have a few drinks or smoke weed that is fine, but ABSOUTLY no hard drugs. Not trying to control or judge anyone, I have just seen so many bands fall apart due to overindulging in drugs and alcohol. I know most musicians that want to do a "Cover Band" want to do all that top 40 stuff but I am so sick of trying to conform with the masses. I would like to do cover songs that aren't overplayed. I would love to do a Tribute band and have seen some great tribute acts here in Colorado that would be awesome to open for...and eventually Headline the tribute scene. I can practice any weekday after 6pm or weekends at any time. I do my homework and come prepared. Here is a list of songs I have done that went well on stage, I would need minimal time to get any of these songs stage worthy. I am open to learning ANY songs that the band wants to play but will only bring it on stage if we have it tight and do it justice...meaning if you don't have the voice for zepplin than don't do zepplin. My favorite singer is Maynard James Keenan and I would LOVE to do a TOOL tribute...even though there are 2 already that are pretty good...we could be better...the best even. I already have 1 hr of Tool ready for the stage. Here are songs I have ready now. I also have a multi-instrumentalists pro player interested if I can get the ball rolling. Ideally, we play large corporate events or large tribute shows. Not really wanting to play short sets at small gigs...but will to a certain extent. At the end of the day it has to be FUN for the whole band...we all know were not getting rich off music. Due to my house fire I lost all my recordings we did in my rehearsal space but I can send links to some live performances from years ago if you need them. I would prefer if you just show up and jam and we all be open minded. Auditioning for guitar 1, guitar 2, Bass, and Drums. My pro player friend prefers drums but also kills it at bass and would play either.
