Cleaner/Handyperson Job Description: The Cleaner/Handyperson is primarily responsible for daily cleaning routines of areas such as building interiors and exteriors (as instructed) while ensuring a safe and risk preventative environment. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintains buildings and grounds in a clean and orderly fashion. Perform cleaning duties that can include, but are not limited to: cleaning floors, kitchens, bathrooms, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, removing rubbish, vacuuming, mopping, waxing, dusting, etc. Following “Building” checklists as assigned and performing scheduled cleanings during the week. Closely follow the cleaning schedule created by the Maintenance Supervisor via Google calendar. Setting up tables and chairs for functions, or generally moving furniture as needed. Performing and reporting back to the main office, general site and grounds inspections. Perform other position-related duties as assigned via work order, or directly from the Maintenance Supervisor. EXPERIENCE and/or EDUCATION: High School education or equivalent GED preferred. 1+ years of experience cleaning in a professional environment, or for a cleaning contractor/company. JOB REQUIREMENTS: General knowledge of various cleaning methods, materials, chemicals, and equipment. Familiar with operating, caring for, and storing cleaning equipment and supplies Must be able to lift tools and other materials that can weigh up to 50lbs. Ability to climb ladders and access areas often greater than 15ft in the air. Comfortable squatting, twisting, bending, and kneeling while using tools and performing maintenance tasks A self-starter and reliable team member. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to use email, digital calendars and other smartphone apps. Valid driver's license and dependable transportation required. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Full time and Part time available, 10-40 hours per week. Start and end time can be flexible. Shifts starting as early as 5:00AM - schedule flexibility a huge plus. Paid time off for full-time work, and paid holidays. Training available, possible certification training. Daily travel between company properties, locally around Rochester. Paid travel time. All tools and supplies provided by the company. Position offered at: $14 $-16 per hour based on experience.
