Title: Battery Test Technician Reports to: General Manager Salary range: TBD based on qualifications / Non-Exempt Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00-5:00, 1 hour lunch break (approx. 12:00PM – 1:00PM) Supervises: N/A Benefits: Health Insurance, Sick & Vacation Leave, Pension program Established company that has been in business for over 30 years and is internationally recognized for Excellence in the area of high quality high voltage battery repairs and battery testing. Company owns and operates a State-of-the-Art Battery Laboratory and OEM battery remanufacturing facility (42,000 sqft) in Sacramento, CA that stores, repairs, maintains and ships new and used batteries for electric and hybrid vehicles to Dealerships throughout North America on behalf of major auto companies (as a Tier 1 supplier). Specific duties as a Battery Test Technician include a wide range of activities including but not limited to: assembling and disassembling high voltage battery packs, receiving core returns from dealers, performing incoming inspection (physical and using electrical scanning tools), provide End-of-Line (QC) testing of battery packs prior to shipment (using State-of-the-Art battery test equipment and battery management systems), process core return deductions for dealers, assist engineers with boost charging and battery pack repairs, assist with inbound receipt and screening of new inventory, provide facility / equipment maintenance, and assist with facility cleaning. Skills and Knowledge • Wants to be in the auto industry, support electric and hybrid vehicles and work with top automotive manufacturers from around the world. • Technical mechanical, electrical or mechatronics training, college degree (2 year degree minimum) or better preferred. • Previous electrical and mechanical assembly experience, testing and auto repair experience a plus. • Knowledge of LabView and C++ a plus. • Recent forklift certification and warehousing experience a plus. • Previous electric vehicle, hybrid vehicle, solar, fuel cell, battery testing experience a plus. • Good hands-on skills and familiarity of a wide range of hand tools and electronic test equipment • Good computer skills (Word, Excel and Outlook) required. Qualifications 1. Strong desire to work for a World Class bound level company and work with other A-level engineers and technicians. 2. Ability to lift 50 lb. objects up to 100 times each day 3. Takes responsibility and ownership of one’s work. 4. Self-starter and able to run with a project / task with little or no direction. Takes initiative and anticipates what needs to be done. 5. Must be neat, organized, high attention to detail and have ability to perform tasks in an efficient and methodical method. 6. Flexible and able to handle a fast paced / changing environment. 7. Reliable, honest and conducts one’s self with a high degree of Integrity. 8. Team player – works well with other team members to help further the company’s objectives. 9.
