Wanted: Guitar Assistant Teacher Compensation: $27.50 - $43.75 per 1 hr. Session, depending on experience Our group lessons are typically 1 hr., but included* in our compensation is the payment for setup/teardown time. Employment type: part-time Description Tritone Music Academy offers quality after school guitar group lessons at public schools.We are seeking part time teaching assistants to support team leaders in our grade 4th-6th grade program. Applicants must have flexible afternoon availability as our program teaches kids after school. Typical hours are 60-90 minutes/day beginning between roughly 2:15 and 3:30pm. Teaching Assistants are supported with training on our comprehensive, proprietary curriculum, on-site training, as well as working with an experienced teacher. Necessary skills: Enjoy working with and have good communication skills with children ages 9-14 Experience teaching guitar Be punctual and have a reliable means of transportation. Several years of formal education on guitar, proficient in reading music notation and TAB. Proximity to Irvine and Fullerton is necessary. Be able to pass a background check. Be fully vaccinated and boosted. Preferred skills: Professional experience working with kids aged 6-9. Experience with classroom management is a big plus. Experience teaching kids in a group setting Confidence singing in front of kids. Telekinesis Please note: If hired for the position, Applicants will be required to pay for a background check. After working for us for three months, Tritone will reimburse you for this expense. *Teachers are expected to arrive before class begins, and stay late with lingering kids if necessary. For this reason, Tritone compensates teachers an extra 15 min. for every session taught, meaning the strictly hourly rates above are: $22/hr-35/hr.
