Compensation: $25-$31.25 per 1 hr. Session, depending on experience Our group lessons are typically 1 hr., but included* in our compensation is the payment for setup/teardown time. Employment type: part-time Description Tritone Music Academy offers quality after school guitar and ukulele group lessons at public schools.We are seeking part time teaching assistants to support team leaders in our 1st-3rd grade ukulele program. Applicants must have afternoon availability for a 60-90 minute lesson; schools typically release between 2:15 and 3:30pm. If you have this availability for even one weekday afternoon please apply. Teaching Assistants are supported with training on our comprehensive, proprietary curriculum, on-site training, as well as working with an experienced teacher. We also provide traditional lessons, in person or over zoom, and we are hiring teachers in this context as well. Necessary skills: Enjoy working with and have good communication skills with children ages 6-9 Be punctual and have a reliable means of transportation. General music experience is needed, direct experience on the ukulele is preferred. Confidence singing in front of kids. Have an excellent work ethic and great organizational skills. Proximity to Irvine and Fullerton is necessary. Be able to pass a background check. Be fully vaccinated and boosted. Preferred skills: Professional experience working with kids aged 6-9. Experience teaching on the ukulele Experience teaching kids in a group setting Telekinesis Please note: If hired for the position, Applicants will be required to pay for a background check. After working for us for three months, Tritone will reimburse you for this expense. *Teachers are expected to arrive before class begins, and stay late with lingering kids if necessary. For this reason, Tritone compensates teachers an extra 15 min. for every session taught, meaning the strictly hourly rates above are: $20/hr-25/hr.
