Machine Operator/ Shop helper $16-$20 per hour

We are a well established family-owned business, located in Oldsmar Florida, that has been manufacturing and distributing commercial signs for over 50 years. We are looking for a full time Machine Operator/ Shop Helper. Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who enjoys building different projects and is a quick learner. This individual will need to be capable of reading basic blue prints, read measuring devices, and learning the set-up and operation of various shop equipment. On the job training will be provided. Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm Duties/Responsibilities: ~Learn to read basic blueprints. ~Flexibility to work between departments as required. ~Assist and perform duties as recommended by trainer or supervisor. ~Able to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly, 75 occasionally, some overhead lifting. ~Operation of various machines and shop equipment including: CNC saw, press-brake, shear, chop saw, drill press, welding machines, milling machine, and other miscellaneous hand tools and grinders. Requirements: ~High School Diploma or GED preferred. ~1-year experience in manufacturing or related field preferred. ~Basic fabrication/communication and written skills. ~Detail oriented, organized, able to work with multiple individuals. ~Mechanically inclined. ~Drug and smoke free workplace. Must be able to pass a pre employment drug screening. Pay range $16.00 - $20.00 per hour based on experience.
