Let's paint the town pink <3 In Memory of those who have been affected by Breast Cancer, we are so excited to host our 4th annual fundraising event! This year we have partnered with Downtown Palm Beach Gardens for our "Here For The Boo(b)s" event ever to raise money for a cause very dear to us. Our goal is to raise money to make bras for women with mastectomies in poor countries who cannot afford to purchase mastectomy bras on their own or have access to them. So far, we have raised close to 5 thousand dollars with a goal to make 10 thousand dollars to be able to fully take on this project. This evening we will be transforming regular pumpkins to the most beautiful pink pumpkins in the land, enjoying sweet spooky treats and supporting all women who have lost someone to breast cancer. We really hope you join us and know how much it means for us to be there and share a special moment together on something that affects so many of us. We love you! HISTORY: I became aware of the need for post-mastectomy items in developing countries when my mom was in her 3rd stage of breast cancer treatment. She had a single sided mastectomy and found that mastectomy bras weren’t as available for other women like herself. Women diagnosed with breast cancer must often travel to have their mastectomy surgery in a larger city and then return home without aftercare or post-mastectomy products, leaving them with no solution to a flat chest on either one or both sides of their body. We began collecting gently-used breast prostheses and mastectomy bras to send overseas. The post-mastectomy products available in North America are unheard of in small towns and villages in central america and other developing nations. We need your help to make these products more available to the women who need them. Locally we are blessed to have access to these items, not to mention healthcare or private insurance, government assistance, and even charitable funding for those in financial need following breast cancer. Access and financing to these items abroad is very limited. Finances are limited too. With this event, we will be able to fund our new organization to start collecting,creating, and making mastectomy bras for women in poor countries, specifically Costa Rica. We will be working with local designers to help make beautiful bras for these women. Our goal is to raise more and more funds every year. This will allow us to help more women in need and have a positive impact on their life! We thank you so much for your support and hope to see you on October 15th <3
