https://thesailingclub.us/classes/ The two day sailing program is held over two weeks. You will learn to sail a 14 foot Hunter 140 sailboat. There will be a class held on two consecutive Saturdays. The Eventbrite event date will be the first class. The following Saturday will be the second class. For the complete schedule visit https://thesailingclub.us/classes/#schedule. The tuition is $145 plus $15 for the Start Sailing Right! textbook by U.S. Sailing. Prerequisites: Sailing is a physical sport. Your training will include being seated on a one-foot high bench seat, moving from one side of the boat to the other, righting a capsized boat and climbing into the boats from the water. For your own safety, we require the following as a minimum for your ability to participate. You should be able to complete 5 standing squats, 2 knee push-ups, and swim 100 feet while wearing a PFD(life jacket). If you have any orthopedic or other health problems, please contact us before registering.Students must bring their own Personal Flotation Device, aka Life Jacket.Students must read the Start Sailing Right! textbook prior to the first class. Make sure to select the add-on to have the book mailed to you.Students must review all of the resources at https://thesailingclub.us/class-resources/ prior to the first class.All other equipment is provided.
