According to 18th century English folklore, a witch’s ball was a tool to protect the home and ward off witch's spells, evil spirits and ill fortune. Hanging these decorative glass balls in the window or on the porch is thought to tantalize mischievous spirits which may be threatening a home's tranquillity leaving the wayward spirit mesmerized by the ball's reflective beauty. When the spirit touches the sphere, it is absorbed and trapped inside the ball. Witch’s ball can also be crafted for a specific purpose, much like a spell or a prayer. Hanging a witch’s ball near a window or in the corner of a room not only provides protection from negative spirits and thoughts but they can also provide good fortune and luck, much like the purpose of an upturned hanging horseshoe. As we bring forth love, light and positivity. Attendees can make a protection ball, a healing ball or an abundance ball of their choice.Various herbs, ribbons, crystals and charms will be available, however, if you have sacred items that you wish to use, attendees are encouraged to bring them along to include.
