Brewing Company & Event Center seeking Facility Custodian

We are a family owned and operated, certified sustainable brewery located in San Carlos, CA. The brewery is a full-time and full-scale production facility and Private Event Center known for year-round, seasonal and specialty craft beer and all-natural root beer. We are seeking a new team member to help perform general cleaning and custodial work primarily for the brewery’s event center. Job Title: Facility Custodian and groundskeeper Must be able to: Lift up to 55lbs, Move up to 100 lbs with assistance, Stand for long periods of time on hard floors, Crouch, Kneel, Squat, Read instructions and work safely with household cleaning chemicals Duties Include but not limited to: • Facility Cleanliness: Sweeping, Mopping, washing windows, restrooms, taking out the trash. • Event Assistance: rearrange and setup furniture for events. • Facility Maintenance: Light to moderate facility repairs (furniture and electrical) Essential Duties/Responsibilities: • Must have basic knowledge of acceptable cleaning standards related to the cleaning and maintenance of the facility. • Must be able to operate custodial/janitorial equipment such as buffers, carpet cleaners and other applicable cleaning equipment. • Must be able to routinely monitor and request inventory necessary for fulfilling custodial cleaning and maintenance where applicable in a timely manner. • Must exhibit the ability to communicate with staff, co-workers and brewery guests in an appropriate manner Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent required • Ability to apply principles of logical thinking of a wide range of practical problems. • Ability to interpret Events Calendar and adjust work schedule to complete regular and irregular tasks in an appropriate timeline. • Attention to detail and proactive work ethic. • Must pass background check • Hospitality/restaurant/bar cleaning experience a plus but not required • Experience operating a forklift a plus FLSA Status: Non-exempt Job Type: Full-time Salary: $15.77- $19.00 per hour
